WATCH: Donald Trump admits he likes it when Ivanka calls him ‘Daddy’

Donald Trump, 71, talked about tax reform at an event in North Dakota on Wednesday and was accompanied by his eldest daughter Ivanka Trump, 35.

After calling her up to the stage to join him, the US President reveals to the crowd Ivanka had requested to make the trip with him.

He revealed: “She said, ‘Daddy, can I go with you?’ I like that.

“I said, ‘yes, you can’.”

As part of his speech and calling his daughter up to the stage, Donald asked Ivanka for reassurance he was not a “bad guy”.

He said: “Sometimes, they’ll say, ‘he can’t be that bad a guy, look at Ivanka’. Come on up honey. She’s so good.”

Ivanka replied: “Hi North Dakota, we love this state, so it’s always a pleasure to be back here.

“You treated us very, very well in November and have continued to, so we like showing the love back.”

Ivanka Trump serves as a White House adviser, along with her husband, Jared Kushner.

During the tax reform event, Donald listed his broad principles for tax reform, such as simplifying the US tax code and providing tax relief to middle-class Americans.

He said: “We’re gong to get into great detail over the next two weeks, but we’re working on it with Congress now and coming up with very exacting numbers.”
